Refund & Cancellation
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how project cancellations, refunds, and payment-related situations are handled at ScaleMint. Our goal is to maintain a fair, transparent, and professional process for both our clients and our team.
1. Introduction
At ScaleMint, we value transparency and fairness in every project. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued, projects may be cancelled, and payments are handled.
By purchasing our services, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
2. Project Cancellation Before Work Begins
Clients may cancel a project at any time before work has officially started.
If the project is cancelled before any work has been initiated, 100% of the advance payment will be refunded.
3. Project Cancellation After Work Begins
If a client requests cancellation after work has started, ScaleMint will review the project’s progress before determining refund eligibility.
A refund of up to 50% of the advance payment may be issued depending on:
- The amount of work completed.
- The project stage at the time of cancellation.
- The resources and time invested.
- Whether the completed work can reasonably be withdrawn or discontinued.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Advance payments will not be refundable if:
- Custom designs or development have been completed.
- Research, planning, or strategy work has been substantially performed.
- The completed work cannot reasonably be withdrawn, reversed, or reused.
- The client has already received completed deliverables.
- The project has reached a stage where significant professional time and resources have been invested.
5. Advance Payments
For fixed-price projects, ScaleMint requires a 10% advance payment before work begins.
If the total project scope has not yet been finalized, an advance payment between ₹2,000 and ₹5,000 may be requested depending on the project’s estimated complexity, timeline, and initial work required.
6. Monthly Retainer Services
For ongoing marketing services or long-term collaborations, monthly retainer payments are generally non-refundable once the agreed work for that billing period has begun.
If a client wishes to discontinue a retainer service, notice should be provided before the next billing cycle whenever possible.
7. Additional Services
Requests made after the original project scope has been approved—such as new pages, additional features, redesigns, or extra functionality—will be treated as separate work and quoted independently.
Refunds for additional services will follow the same principles outlined in this policy.
8. Client Delays
If a project is delayed because required content, approvals, access credentials, or feedback are not provided by the client, ScaleMint reserves the right to pause the project.
Such delays do not automatically qualify the client for a refund.
9. Project Suspension
If there is no response from the client for 30 consecutive days, the project may be placed On Hold until communication resumes.
The original delivery timeline may be revised after the project is reactivated.
10. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or banking system.
11. Exceptions
Each project is unique. In exceptional situations, ScaleMint may review individual cases and make a fair decision based on the project’s progress, completed work, and mutual communication.
Any exception made for one project does not create an obligation to apply the same decision to future projects.
12. Changes To This Policy
ScaleMint may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy whenever necessary to reflect changes in our services, payment methods, or business practices.
The latest version will always be available on this page.
